Lead Installer AOR

Job Description

The AMI AOR (Add On Replacement) Install Lead position is responsible for overseeing the AOR Apprentice assigned and assist in the installation of HVAC systems in residential homes.

Salary/Level: Compensation based on skill level.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Installation of HVAC systems
• Supervision of assigned apprentice(s) to oversee and ensure adherence to AMI installation standards
• Having a solid understanding of pipe/duct details, system sizing/calculation; and related design data as it relates to hold cutting, duct connection/installation, nailing and framing outlets, installing duct and flex to code, properly venting fans, installing gas lines (no hook ups)
• Familiar with coordination drawings, blueprints, code compliance and design data
• Ability to follow instruction
• Unload supplies as needed
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
• Following adherence to safety and compliance requirements
• Maintain orderly workflow according to changing priorities
• Establishing and maintaining positive interactions with others
• Meeting deadlines on projects or assignments
• Work cooperatively with team
• Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Attendance and scheduling are critical; good atte4ndance record is a must!
• Experience working in construction is highly preferred
• Organized, with the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
• Work independently as needed to complete project deadlines
• Capable of reading and relaying information on blueprints/plans
• Strong work ethic with attention to detail
• Good driving record is required
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires interaction with people in an outside environment or at job sites and/or residential homes. Primary responsibilities require bending, stretching, reaching, and dexterity with hands to grasp, hold, or move objects in addition to driving on roadways/freeways. Must have the ability to communicate over the phone, over email, and in person.
