The Total Solutions Membership (TSM) is designed to wrap all of your home’s maintenance needs into one customizable and comprehensive membership, meaning it includes ALL of your home’s systems. These items may not seem like they need maintenance, but they are important to be checked so that your HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Systems run smoothly. Below we discuss why maintenance is important for each of the Accessories and Specialty Items – and how this works on the Total Solutions Membership.
Accessories:
- Air Exchanger (HRV/ERV) – Regular maintenance for an air exchanger is important to prevent the buildup of dust, mold, and bacteria in the system. It helps avoid blockages in filters and ensures optimal airflow.
- Humidifier - Humidifiers are especially important to service for the winter season. Maintenance reduces mineral buildup, avoids unpleasant odors, reduces risk of respiratory problems, and maintains consistent humidity levels.
- Dehumidifiers – Dehumidifiers are important to service for the summer months. It will prevent harmful particles from growing in the unit, avoid clogs in the drain line, and extend the dehumidifier’s lifespan.
- Electronic Air Cleaners – Upkeep maintenance for electronic cleaners helps you get the optimal indoor air quality you require year-round. It prevents the buildup of residue on sensors, filters, and internal components. The biggest benefit is preventing overheating or malfunctions due to a dirty or clogged unit.
- Zoning System – Addressing the potential problems by maintenance for a zoning system could prevent stuck dampers, malfunctioning thermostats, clogged filters, and disruption in temperature.
- Condensate Pump – Removing excess moisture from your HVAC system with a condensate pump is crucial to extend the life of your HVAC system. By keeping the pump clean and preventing clogs with maintenance you can ensure no interruptions when you need it the most.
How Does This Work on The TSM? – AMi HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical Technicians would complete this during your yearly maintenance visit(s). AMi recommends maintenance once a year for all accessories listed.
Specialty Items:
- Carbon Filter – Carbon Filters are important to change because, when clogged, they lose their ability to remove contaminants, odors, and impurities from the air or water.
- Iron Filter- Changing the Iron Filter helps ensure your water quality stays top-notch and that your Plumbing Equipment investment lasts longer. If it becomes clogged, it can lead to staining and damage to appliances.
- Sediment Filter – Sediment Filters maintain your water filtration and plumbing systems. Replacing them reduces strain on appliances, improves filtration, and catches contaminants in the water system. Over time they can become clogged with debris, dirt, and sand.
- SecureAire Filter – Since SecureAire Filters are designed to capture airborne particles at a hospital quality level – it’s important to pay attention to changing this filter. The filter can become saturated and reduce its ability to capture contaminants in the air. It ties into HVAC system maintenance as undue strain on your heating system can lead to problems in the long run.
- Yearly UV Bulb – UV bulbs, installed within ductwork, neutralize bacteria and other harmful particles in the air. Professional maintenance is important so that you do not damage your eyesight, touch the bulb, or it is installed incorrectly.
How Does This Work on The TSM? – Make maintenance easy by putting these specialty items on your plan. The technician will bring out the necessary filters without worry for you and your family.
